1. The Village Coffee Shop
So where do Boulder students go after a night of partying and a wake and bake sesh? The Village Coffee Shop of course. Upon entering Village Coffee Shop the diner looked like any other breakfast hole in the wall that I have been eating at since childhood. Forget about your diet don’t skimp on the blueberry pancakes, because they are the best I have ever had. Each time I go back to Boulder the first thing I do is get a tall stack of these heavenly hotcakes. I’ve asked them for their secret recipe but they will never reveal the secret. Only a college town joint would offer prices like these with food this top notch (nothing on the breakfast menu is more than 8 dollars). This place is definitely a Boulder institution, and no visiter should miss it.
2. The Buff
Boulder has certainly perfected the most important meal of the day. Maybe it’s because a good wake and bake is always better with an omelet or maybe all of those hikers need fuel for their next excursion, but either way, Boulder’s #1 breakfast stop is surely a knock out. This is the same place where Obama eats when he comes to town, so if he loves it, isn’t it your civil duty to love it too? Go for the heartland skillet–with bacon, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, and blended cheddar, served with fresh rustic sourdough bread it surely wins my heart. Perhaps the best part of The Buff’s breakfast is the choice of mimosa, bloody mary, or tequila sunrise for just $0.99 with the purchase of an entree (limit 3).
